SUBMISSIONS
Interviews, Essays, and Criticism: We have an open policy for submitting author interviews, profiles, essays, and critical pieces (no book reviews). First, send us an email with the focus and word count of your piece, which must be literary in nature.

Please keep in mind, although we aim for editorial excellence, we strive to be accessible by everyone. Footnotes, eight-syllable words, and desert-dry academic verbiage are discouraged.

Poetry
: Submit up to three poems. Works can be of any focus or length.

We only accept email submissions. Please attach work to an email and submit it to info@mosaicmagazine.org. You will only be notified if your work is selected for use in Mosaic. Mailed submissions will not be considered.

  • Authorization to reprint submissions: We assume that all work submitted to Mosaic gives us the right to print that work without pre-notification of the author. If your work is chosen you will be contacted. We will not distribute your work to other publications or individuals.

  • Payment: All contributors will receive an honorarium and 2 copies of the issue in which their work appears. Payment is made within one month of the publication date of the issue in which your work appears.

If you are interested in writing reviews for Mosaic please email your resume/bio to info@mosaicmagazine.org

Submit NEW BOOKS FOR REVIEW
(Publishers only)
: We welcome review copies. Please keep in mind that our focus are literary writers of African descent. We rarely consider urban lit, romance novels, or books written for children.

Because of the large number of books we receive we cannot review all submissions. Emails, phone calls, or letters will have no influence in the decision to review a title.
